Eddy County Clerk Darlene Rosprim on Wednesday, certified the results of the count’s elections, despite some questions about voting accuracy. Rosprim assured everyone that there have been multiple checks and balances by her office to make sure all votes are legal and certified. County manager Allen Davis also expressed confidence in the voting system and the results.
The results have Kelly Calicoat retaining the Division One Judge seat by defeating Roby Austin/ Megan Bowen also beat Monica Martinez-Jones in Division Two. Bowen will replace interim Magistrate Judge Richard Van Dyk who was appointed earlier this year by Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham.
