Monsoon Season Begins, Bringing Glimmer Of Hope For Rain

Forecasters are giving us some glimmer of hope that rain could be on the way soon, as monsoon season officially begins. New Mexico has faced back to back years of La Nina weather patterns, so that has contributed to historic droughts. Unfortunately, it’s looking more and more like a La Nina pattern will settle in again this summer. The last two years, southeast New Mexico saw just a little more than 3 inches of total rain throughout the entire summer season.
