A Roswell man has been arrested and jailed for a dangerous carjacking and kidnapping on Monday. The ordeal ended with a violent crash in Tatum after 27 year old Joel Omar Contreras led police on a high speed pursuit. Contreras is now being held with no bond. The carjacking took place atr the Allsup’s parking lot on South Sunset Avenue, where a victim reported Contreras forced him out of his SUV at gunpoint. Contreras is then thought to have driven the SUV to Loveless Park, where he threatened three boys with the gun and stole a woman’s cell phone when she tried to call for help.
