Roswell House Fire Claims Lives Of 2 Young Children And Their Teen Babysitter

A tragic house fire in Roswell has left three children dead. RFD responded Tuesday night to the 500 block of South Cedar and found that the parents of two of the children, aged 3 and 4, had just returned home to find the house filled with smoke. They had left the young children in the care of a 16 year old babysitter, who was also still through to be inside. The father of the young children called 911 and went inside. He was able to pull all three of the unconscious children to the front door, where firefighters took over. Tragically, all three died at the hospital in Roswell. Crews determined the flames broke out in the living room, but there was no longer an active fire burning. The exact cause of the fire remains under investigation.
