Drilling related to testing of road pavement and the soil below will be taking place along Hobson Road in south Roswell. The testing is needed as a consultant hired by the city develops a flood prevention plan for Hobson Road. The drilling work is scheduled to begin today. Motorists are asked to use extra caution in the work area, which will be along Hobson from the west edge of the Roswell Air Center property on West Hobson to the railroad crossing on East Hobson. There will be flaggers to direct traffic in areas where the road may be reduced to one lane. Motorists should be prepared to stop.
