This week, Artesia City Council reminded everyone of upcoming public hearings on November 10th. One item will be a variance request involving two mobile homes. The other will discuss the new housing development at the site of the old armory building. if you have any opinions or thoughts on the new housing development, go to the November 10th Artesia city council meeting.
The Artesia Recreation Committee reports that the first flag football season is coming to an end. 261 kids participated this year. The council thanked everyone for a great season and the committee noted that sign ups for basketball are now happening.
