The City of Roswell is excited to announce that it has
awarded SkyWest Airline’s response to its Request for Proposal (RFP) for air-service flights
from Roswell to Denver, Colorado, via United Airlines’ reservation, ticking and baggage system.
This strategic and timely move by Roswell’s Mayor and City Council reflects a commitment to
enhancing connectivity for Roswell and its surrounding communities.
By acting swiftly to seize this opportunity, the City of Roswell has positioned itself to garner
surrounding support, initiate contract negotiations and fix anticipated schedules for additional
flights, which will introduce two daily departures and returns to and from Denver International
Airport. This new service to America’s largest airport by land area will complement existing
American Airlines flights to North America’s most nonstop-routed airport, at DFW, thereby
bolstering Roswell’s airport as a central hub for air travel access. Developments are moving
fast and it will be specifically noteworthy for new flight ticket purchasers to be aware that
once the initial “publication” of the new flight’s schedule has been released, it will take
three days to sync the merging systems in order to provide for accurate ticket pricing (i.e.,
initial ticket prices, published during this three-day publication period, may not be
accurate, prior to the system’s sync). Please stay tuned for more information and updates
on the City’s next steps and the Denver flight’s official schedule publication in the days
ahead.
