— Children will be able to enjoy a safe and fun event as the City of Roswell and
Waymaker Church put on the Fall Bash. The free event takes place Thursday, Oct. 30, from 5 to
8 p.m. at Pioneer Plaza (426 N. Main St.).
Activities will include trunk-or-treat, games, bounce houses, photo ops, candy and trinkets (non-
food items), music, and free hot dogs, chips and drinks (while the food and drink supplies last).
The Roswell Police Department and Roswell Fire Department will provide a chance for children
(and adults) to visit with these local first-responders and get an up-close look at law
enforcement and fire vehicles. The city’s Streets, Parks, Transit and Solid Waste departments
also plan to have work vehicles on display. The Visitor Center will make its restrooms available
to those at the Fall Bash and will offer a “not-so-scary” hallway to check out. Other city
departments participating in the event are Recreation, Museum, Air Center, City Clerk,
Community Development, Animal Services, Safety, Water and Finance. Other participants are
American Medical Response ambulance service and Utility Workers of America Union Local 51.
Those attending the Fall Bash are welcome to dress in costumes if they like.
Parking will be available one block west of the event in the parking lot at the corner of North
Richardson Avenue and West Fourth Street.
Anyone who would like to donate candy for use by the entities participating in the trunk-or-
treat can drop off the candy at City Hall (425 N. Richardson Ave.), the city’s Public Affairs office
(421 N. Richardson Ave.), the Roswell Police Department (128 W. Second St.) or Fire Station 1
(200 S. Richardson Ave.).
