On Tuesday, November 2nd, the federal Centers for Disease Control signed off on the use of Pfizer vaccine for 5-11-year-olds. The vaccines – ? the adult dose – are safe and highly effective at preventing serious COVID complications and death, and side effects are milder than in older children. The CDC estimates that every 10 vaccinations in the 5-11 age group can prevent a COVID case in the same age group.

In addition to receiving the initial vaccination and booster shots, the spread of COVID-19 can be minimized by masking in public, social distancing, avoiding crowds, and monitoring your health daily. If you are experiencing any COVID-19 symptoms, get tested today.
