A new audit report of Eddy County’s finances shows continued growth in 2022. In fact, the reprt shows consistent growth over the past five years. The firm Carr, Riggs and Ingram studied Eddy County’s finances, finding no negative results. The report showed Eddy County’s cash balance increased by more than 70 million dollars from June of 2021 to June of 2022, mainly due to gross tax receipt increases in the oil and gas industry. Total oil and gas tax revenues were 49.1 million dollars.
