We have a traffic alert for you in Eddy County. State transportation crews will begin a roadway rehab project on US285 south of Artesia on Wednesday. This project includes a 3-inch mill and fill and re-striping of the roadway and was awarded in the amount of $2.86 million. The project is expected to be ongoing through the end of March, weather permitting. Starting Wednesday, you can expect single-lane closures on both sides of 285 from 6am to 6pm on week days.
