Fire crews were busy over the holiday weekend with a wildfire at Fort Stanton that spread to 350 acres. The Camp Fire began Sunday and has been raging on Bonito Loop and Black Pershing Road on land managed by the U.S. Bureau of Land Management and the state of New Mexico, according to the New Mexico Forestry Division, which issued a press release about the fire early Monday. Six large air tankers have been put into service, along with two single-engine tankers and multiple ground crews.
