Hobbs Police have arrested a man in connection to a deadly shooting last week. 44 year old Leroy Smith is being held for the killing of Cruz Aguirre. Police say Smith got into a fight with a woman when Agurrie attempted to break it up. Smith is accused of shooting Aguirre and then fleeing the scene. He was arrested the next day.
