A man and woman were injured in a shooting incident late Monday in Roswell. RPD says the incident happened in the 1000 block of South Michigan Avenue. officers nearby heard the gunshots and responded. One officer noticed a vehicle speeding away from the scene and pulled over the driver, who said his two passengers had been shot. Paramedics responded and transported the man and woman to a hospital. The injured man, Angelo Daniel Duran, was treated and released, but was later arrested and booked for aggravated assault, shooting at a dwelling, attempted aggravated burglary, and crminal damage to property.
Polcie say Duran asked another man to drive him to a house to look for the woman. When they arrived, Duran went up to the house, broke a window and pointed a gun at a man who is the resident of the house and fired multiple shots at the man and the house. The man inside the house was not struck by the gunfire. The woman was also inside the house at the time. Investigators have not yet confirmed if the woman fired a gun during the incident. The gunfire left Duran and the woman with gunshot wounds. They got into the vehicle with the driver who began driving to a hospital before being pulled over by the officer.
A search of the vehicle during the investigation located three guns inside. It is unclear at this time who shot whom during this incident, but the investigation is ongoing.
