Authorities have released the name of a man who died last week in a crash on Highway 62/180 near Carlsbad. The crash Wednesday afternoon left 45 year old Earl Burton dead. State poclie responded and found that Burton’s car was headed east in the wrong lanes. He collided head on with a Chevy pickjup truck. Burton died at the scene, while the driver of the pickup was treated for only minor injuries. Police reports indicate alcohol was likely a factor in the crash.
