6 Year-Old Boy Found Safe After Being Swept Away By Floodwaters

Chaves County sheriff’s deputies helped with a mutual aid call from Lincoln County on Pine Lodge Road. Deputies assisted with the search and rescue of a missing 6 year old boy that had repoetdly been swept away in floodwaters. Lincoln County Emergency Dispatch reported that the seen was betwene mile marker 27 and 38, where water had flooded the roadway. The boy was swept away after the pickup truck he was in flipped over in the floodwaters. Again, the boy was eventually located and is now safe.
