The City of Roswell is looking forward to making the next UFO Festival better than ever, and the planning starts now!
The city is calling on all citizens, from business owners to community service organization representatives to government leaders to every other resident, to take part in the discussion of ideas and aspirations at a community meeting to kick off the planning process for the 2022 UFO Festival. The meeting will take place Wednesday, Sept. 15, at 5:30 p.m. at the Roswell Convention Center.
“It is our top priority to collaborate with the community,” says City of Roswell Marketing and Special Events Manager Paige Smith. “The city’s goal is to develop the most beneficial and inclusive event possible.”
This initial meeting will include a review of the 2021 festival and an opportunity for public input about planning for the 2022 festival. Discussion will also focus on the creation of
committees to work on festival planning, maintaining clear communication with all those involved and the community overall regarding the ongoing planning efforts, continuing opportunities for community involvement, and vendor and sponsorship possibilities.
Those who cannot attend the Sept. 15 meeting are encouraged to submit input online at www.surveymonkey.com/r/UFO75planning. That link can also be used to indicate in what service areas someone is interested in participating.
