Roswell Water Tank Design Competing For Tank Of The Year

The art design of the City of Roswell’s new water tanks at the Roswell Air Center area is competing with other water-tank designs from across the United States and Canada for the title of Tank of the Year. Residents of Roswell and the surrounding area can cast their votes for the local water-tank design featuring the city’s UFO-themed logo.

The contest has been conducted since 2006 by Tnemec
Company, Inc., the industrial paint supplier the city used for its recently completed pair of water towers in south Roswell. The Kansas City, Mo.-headquartered company will feature the top 12 tank designs, as determined by online voting, in its annual water-tank calendar.

Voting is taking place Oct. 4-15 at tankoftheyear.tnemec.com.

Once the voting closes, the top vote-getter and 11 runners-up will be judged by a panel of water-tank enthusiasts to determine the overall winner. The Tank of the Year will be announced Oct. 22. However, each of the top 12 vote-getting designs will be showcased in the company calendar.
