Woman Arrested In Roswell Homicide Case

A Roswell woman has been arrested and charged with voluntary manslaughter after fatally shooting another woman during an argument and fight.

RPD Officers arrived to the hopme in the 900 block of Caminisito and found the shooter, 26 year old Melissa Kenyon, and her boyfriend, Uriah Shields, outside the home. They were both identified and detained there.

Inside the home, police found 51 year old Cassandra Kirkman dead of a gunshot wound in a bedroom.

RPD says Kenyon called police to report that she had shot Kirkman. She’s now being held for voluntary manslaughter. Shields was also arrested for being a convicted felon in possession of a gun.
