A teenager has been captured and arrested for last weekend’s murder of his 17 year old roommate in Roswell. A statement from RPD says Darion Penn is charged with 1st degree murder for the death of Mason Mayes. Authorities responded to the 1600 block of North Sycamore Avenue and found Mayes on a balcony. He’d been shot in the head. Polcie found Penn hiding in a bedroom closet of the apartment and a rifle believed to have been used in the crime was also found. The RPD statement says polcie believe Penn may have been under the influence of a drug ort other substance and was possibly delusional at the time of the shooting.
