Lincoln County declared an emergency Tuesday due to a wildfire. The McBride fire has grown to about 32-hundred acres according to Inciweb. Evacuation orders were in place for Ruidoso north of the high school, including Gavilan Canyon Road, Homestead Loop, Eagle Creek, Blue Lake Drive, Mira Monte Road, and east of Fort Stanton Road. A Red Cross shelter was set up at Ruidoso Convention Center.
