An emergency alert went out Sunday, late morning, regarding a 911 outage. A message from Eddy County Emergency Management said that all 911 lines were down and were being routed to Chaves County. Until further notice, if you must call 911 in Eddy County, first advise the dispatcher where you are located. Calrsbad PD can still be contacted through their non-emergency number of 575-885-2111. The Eddy County Sheirff, Loving Police and Fire, and Artesia Poclie and Fire non-emergency number is 575-616-7155.
