Authorities in Tuesday, called off a two days search effort for a jet skiier who went missing on Brantley Lake. Eddy County Sheriff’s deputies responded to the state park on Sunday when the man was reported missing. A statement from Marine Enforcement Officer Ramon Carillo said two men were working on a jet ski and were testing it on the water. They went into Champion Bay, but the jet ski broke down and they were blown into deeper water by the wind. Only one of the men was able to swim to shore.
