BLM Appropriates $7M To Help Restore Pecos River Land

Millions of dollars has been set aside to help restore an important river in southern New Mexico. The BLM has appropriated 7.6 million dollars from the Inflation Reduction Act to help restore land and wildlife in the Lower Pecos Restoration Landscape and areas around Artesia and Carlsbad. The project, which covers more than 7 million acres, hopes to protect native wildlife and vegetation. The bureau also wants to help prevent fires.
