Roswell Father Charges With Firearm Negligence In Connection To Daughter’s Death

— A Roswell father has been arrested after a Roswell Police Department investigation determined he left his guns where they were accessible to children and then tried to hide the guns after a child who was playing with one of the guns accidentally fired a shot that killed the father’s 10-year-old daughter. 32 year-old Phillip Ray Jaramillo is charged with negligently making a firearm accessible to a minor resulting in great bodily harm or death. He is also charged with tampering with evidence. Jaramillo was arrested without incident Wednesday morning at a family member’s home in north Roswell.
